How dreams are like the astounding Holographic Map in the movie Avatar

The Avatar Map

To better grasp  the marvel of dreams, think of the movie Avatar. Near the beginning there is this huge holographic map of Pandora, the planet they are on. (see video below) The conscious mind is like a flat map, even a good topographical one. But it is extremely limited in mapping the terrain.

The Avatar Map is different. It can see everything on Pandora in incredible detail. It can move anywhere in an instant. It can move to the sky or beneath the ground and pinpoint any location one wishes to focus on. It’s detail is so great, one can see nearly every leaf on any tree. It reveals everything at a moment’s notice. Even as great as Google maps now are, they still cannot compare to the Avatar Map.

Our dreams are like this astonishing map. They have no limit to what symbols they wish to select, the details of those symbols to give us information, the narrative they create to give their message and the are not constrained by time or space. They can go into our deepest past if necessary), or other dimensions if the situation calls for it.

They express the depth of truth of what we are thinking, feeling, and responding to concerning the events, circumstances and people in our waking life. But dreams do more. The dreaming mind never lies. It is radically honest in its knowledge and honesty about us and will not waver in presenting the fullness of what is real in our inner lives. And like the Avatar Map, Dreams are incredibly precise. Not one hair is out of place in a dream and its message for us. This is the importance of dream interpretation.

Here is a part of the movie scene with the Avatar Map in it. In other posts I have shared and will share in writing and video examples of how exquisite dreams are in their richness of detail and precision of messages.

“Ken, thank you, thank you, that was an eye opener, I will be putting more value and time towards my dreams. Last night was awesome, thank you.” Simona M.
